  • Reporting to the Finance Director I supported the turnaround of breakeven business post 2002 downturn to an EBITDA of £65m and turnover of £300m+ (2002/08).• In-house support to buy and build strategy including due diligence and financial close for extended consolidated Tilney Group covering 15+ entities across the UK, Monaco, Ireland & Bermuda. o Sale of Tilney Group to Deutsche Bank for £355m (2006). o Sale of Tilney Group to Bridgepoint Equity Partners and management buyout for £110m including £65m debt finance from Bank of Scotland (2005). The sale was the first private equity backed wealth MBO in the UK. o 5 strategic acquisitions in excess of £50m (2003/05). o Outsourcing and sale of back office function to Bank of New York converting £4m p.a. of fixed cost into a variable cost platform that could support buy and build strategy (2002). • Implemented redesign of month end reporting and process to meet DB (2007), and Private Equity/Debt partner requirements including loan covenant compliance (2005). • Promoted to Group Financial Controller at 28 in 2005.   Global head of strategic planning, analytics and performance reporting, overseeing the financial close, analytics, planning and forecasting of a highly successful EUR 3 billion turnover business with invested assets in excess of EUR 720 billion spread across 200 global legal entities acting in the capacity of a deputy CFO, supported by 140 onshore and offshore finance staff including 15 global direct reports. Additionally, providing regional CFO oversight for the UK AM franchise, covering 5 regulated UK entities. Supported the carve out of AM from AWM, and led a significant part of the DWS Frankfurt listing.
