      Providing human resources support to business unit falling under Aga Khan University Hospital. The total strength of these units in terms of headcount is over one thousand employees, which was being managed by a team of 4 employees working under my supervision and guidance. Working closely with entity heads in planning their long term HR strategic needs in order to attract, retain and develop human capital as well as addressing the operational issues in an effective and efficient manner. Major responsibilities included: • Meet department heads in assigned areas to assess their staffing needs and provide them guidance and support. • Supervise recruitment activities to ensure that all hiring is in accordance with budget and institutional policies. • Approve advertisements, review screened applications received, forward to the concerned departments and follow-up with them to arrange for interviews of short-listed candidates. • Prepare offer for the selected candidates by running a comparative analysis of the on-board faculty & staff to ensure internal pay equity. Supervise probationary evaluation and related issuance of confirmation letters to the employees • Supervise activities related to severance and final settlement of departing staff. • Provide support to departmental heads in employee discipline matters. • Conduct exit interviews of departing employees to assess their reasons for leaving and feedback on the University and identify areas of improvement.• Lead annual performance appraisal and salary increase activities in line with the University’s policies. • Attracting and retaining talent – continuous improvisation of recruitment strategies, offer packages based on expertise; evaluate compensation based on market survey and/or internal equality.• Working as Management Representative for Quality Show less • Assist supervisor in conducting interviews, explain benefits and make employment offers to candidates in compliance with the compensation guidelines.• Arrange Pre-employment physical examination for new employees and follow-up with doctor for fitness report.• Prepare monthly hiring and document verification list of new staff that includes preparing ROPs, arranging demand drafts, preparing letters for Boards/Universities, forward it to the respective Boards/Universities.• Prepare Terminal Benefit forms and letter of resignation acceptance, contract conclusions and change in job status.• Prepare service certificates upon request from employees in line with the policy• Assist supervisor in reviewing and processing promotions & salary adjustments recommendations.• Assist supervisor in annual performance appraisal and salary increase activities for assigned department.
