      Role and Responsibilities included:- The Management and leadership of an outstanding team, consisting of Safety and Wellbeing Business Partners, Injury Management Advisor and Wellbeing Officer through the development and delivery of the:o Council Safety Management System;o Implementation of the Wellbeing Program and the Mental Health Plan;o Targeted risk and injury reduction programs; ando Operational support, coaching and mentoring of Council leadership groups- Development of the Council Mental Health Strategy and Plan, in order to set the strategic roadmap for the wellbeing framework. We successfully implemented the Whittlesea Ways to Wellbeing, a wellbeing program with key priorities including increasing staff participation, improving staff culture surveys results, driving wellbeing down through the executive and embedding wellbeing programs in Council business processes.- Provide strategic direction and specialist advice on all matters relating to occupational health and safety, including governance, operations, compliance, and reporting.- A member of Council’s leadership team, with a focus on developing and implementing strategies, systems and programs that drive and underpin organisational safety culture and performance.- Facilitating pro-active early intervention and return to work strategies for Council employees to achieve safe and sustainable return to work outcomes following injury;- Lead early intervention programs, including a physiotherapy contracts and wellbeing programs and key initiatives to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of staff;- Effectively manage the WorkCover Agent relationship to ensure the best return to work outcomes for Council and staff, including the implementation of strategies to proactively manage and improve Council’s WorkCover premium and safety performance; Show less
