  Long patient wait times have become an area of focus in ophthalmology and optometry offices around the country. As the number of baby boomers seeking eye care increases, and revenues decrease, it is easy to see why patients are added to the schedules and kept waiting. As a consultant to eye care practices, I address clinical flow with an eye on increasing revenue without increasing overhead. This includes evaluation of master schedules, space planning and technician competencies.
