      Prenatal Diagnosis Center is a private MFM practice affiliated with a local hospital Martha Jefferson Hospital now owned by Sentara. I worked alongside another genetic counselor and two MFMs for most of my time there.This position provided me insight into different aspects of medicine apart from clinical care such as billing/reimbursement and scheduling. Our practice consists of a large, diverse medical team including Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians and fellows, NPs, CNMs, RNs, and CMAs. MUSC is the #1 hospital in the state of South Carolina and patients with a wide range of indications travel from around the state to obtain care. We have an Advanced Fetal Care Center which helps to coordinate clinics for patients that require evaluation with multiple sub-specialties such as pediatric cardiology, neonatology, pediatric surgery, and radiology.We have multiple locations and our providers service most of the eastern portion of South Carolina. Genetic counseling is done face-to-face in two locations and telemedicine is utilized to serve other clinics.
