En plus de m’apporter des compétences techniques et des connaissances, cette expérience de la vie en laboratoire m’a grandement conforté dans mes projets professionnels.

  Sous la direction de Béatrice Py, j’ai cherché à mettre en évidence le rôle de la protéine nfuA dans la chaîne de biosynthèse des protéines à centre Fer/Souffre chez E. coli, dans le contexte de la publication d'une review de Nature Microbiol. Outre une connaissance plus approfondie du métabolisme d’E. coli, ce stage m’a apporté une certaine aisance dans la pratique des manipulations stériles, de la culture bactérienne ainsi que de plusieurs techniques de microbiologie.

  Les projets de recherche de l'équipe ont pour but de mieux comprendre et d’identifier les défauts cellulaires, moléculaires et génétiques qui sont responsables de pathologies associées à une réponse immunitaire défectueuse/anormale contre le virus EBV.À partir de cohortes de patients présentants une susceptibilité à l'EBV (non associée à un syndrome lympho-prolifératif lié à l'X (XLP) ou à un syndrome hémophagocytaire), j'effectue des études génétiques (whole exome sequencing et GWAS), suivies d'études fonctionnelles et moléculaires, afin de mettre en évidence de nouveaux effecteurs de la réponse immunitaire contre l'EBV impliqués dans le processus d'activation des lymphocytes T.
