  As a qualified Level 1 Swim instructor I have worked as part of the Freedom Leisure Guildford Spectrum Swim School team for 2 years. During my time in this role, I assisted Level 2 swim teachers during lessons, helped set up and clear poolside equipment, took registers and organized swimmers waiting for their lessons, spoke to parents about their child's swim progress, and often lead my own swimming lessons in the event of unplanned staff absences.

  Assistant Swim Coach

  My experience working for Guildford City Swim Academy had me assisting coaches with delivering lessons to swimmers aged from 5-15 in teaching and competitive development squads. I took registers, was in charge of organizing multiple lanes of swimmers, delivered swimming sets to large and small swim groups, often worked with swimmers on a one-to-one basis when teaching basic swim stroke, and gave feedback and technique guidance for competitive swimmers aswell.

  I worked alongside engineers and market developers in the information management services at Collins Aerospace. I spent the week looking at the development of GUIs and user portals within the CabinConnectTM flight network used onboard commercial aircraft.I had the opportunity to briefly shadow an aerospace engineer working on making ATC correspondence more efficient for client airlines through the use of high bandwidth communication technologies. Alongside this I observed satellite engineers monitor and operate an array of LEO and GEO satellites providing high speed broadband coverage and network communication services for aircrafts ships and cities.   Medical Assistant (COVID Clinic)

  During the Covid-19 lockdown I worked as a GP’s assistant at Binscombe Medical Centre helping Doctors in their COVID-19 hot hub unit, carry out observational tests on patients with suspected Covid-19 symptoms. This role involved a lot of engagement with patients both face to face and over the phone. Additionally, during my time at the Medical Centre, I worked on updating patient records using the NHS database EMIS as well as Excel.

  Selected to be a member of a prestigious academy where I work as part of a team of engineers and take part in multidisciplinary engineering projects outside of normal course working hours. This is alongside receiving weekly skills workshops, networking events, and seminars from leaders in industry.

  In this role I work as part of a large catering team travelling to different venues across South East England to provide customer service as waiting staff for events like weddings and conferences. My job is to set up and close down venues, serve food and drinks and help out in the kitchen and behind the bar.

  Level 2 Swim Teacher

  I currently work as a Level 2 Swim instructor at Goodwin Sports Centre in Sheffield. This role involves me planning swim lessons for kids aged 5-10, delivering these lessons on poolside and in the water, monitoring and keeping track of individual swimmer progress, and communicating with parents about their child's swim development. This is all while working with another level 2 swim teacher as part of a great teaching team at Sport Sheffield.

  Vaccination Centre On Site Support

  In this role, I worked as a blue coat site support at a vaccination clinic in Artington. I was in charge of on the door reception of clients, providing temperature checks with IF thermometers and organising queues for vaccinations and check ins. Alonside this I worked as a receptionist, booking members of the public in for their vaccination using accubook booking software. This role in partiular required lots of on the spot decision making and problem solving as you have to cater for every memebr of the public differently depening on their situation and the information they can provide. Often issues would arise involving vaccination records not showing up on system, lack of information at hand by patient or people scheduling a vaccine before they are eligable to have one.   Over an 8-week period, I worked remotely via Microsoft teams within IMI's GrowthHub as technical and facilitation support for TeamGreenVolt, exploring innovation in the digital energy systems and the electrification of households and industrial buildings, specifically focusing on addressing the problem areas of grid flexibility and smart home energy management. Additionally, I worked on social media projects displaying what I get up to as an intern in various forms too on the company workplace page. I observed and participated in various other areas of the company, getting to speak and learn from experts in project management, ecosystem facilitation, team coaching/agile methodology and outreach.
