I am using Simondon as a theoretical framework for creating art with living, nonhuman organisms. My artwork includes sculptures and installations using bioluminescent algae, physical computing and biosensors to create interactive artworks that bring humans and algae into experience mediated by technology. I look to Simondon to help understand how technology can enable us to creatively engage with nature. Show less

Oversaw sustainable growth of programs from 4 to 16, more than doubling the number of students studying abroad. Collaborated with faculty to develop intellectually-rigorous programs, studying diverse topics such as conflict resolution, intellectual history, planned communities, creative writing, cinema and identity politics.
