  Scientific Internship with a publication in the Digital Biomarkers

  I collaborated in an international clinical study involving arthritis patients. For the first time data was colleted remotely with accelerometer devices. I collected and analysed the data. For that matter, I was in charge of setting up and updating the database with the clinical information and patient-reported outcomes. In addition, I created a data extraction tool to collect the interesting data out of the 24 hoursof data that the devices were worn. We made a regression analysis based on a linear mixed-effects model in order to correlate the observed data with the reported pain values. In the end, we could infer a model that predicts the pain based on the collected data of patiens.This will enable doctors to track the pain levels of their patients remotely and to intervene where necessary.   In the course of the job the responsibilities have evolved. A list of the different topics shall show the development:- Development and maintenance of various datadriven Products to maximise the Business Value using the Lean and Agile Principles- Tailored analyses for special requests of various stakeholders- Monitoring of the Quality of Swisscom TV in order to ensure customer satisfaction- Support for data migration projects in order to bring our database to the next level Product Manager of the TV Web and Mobile Clients. This envolved development of new features with the designers, handing the features over to the developpers and finally testing the delivered work in the different clients.Development of a future-proof product in coordination with the TV Box and BigScreen Clients.We all worked in an agile way of working following the Scrum Methodology. After the Traineeship I stayed at the last of the projects, which was TV Development.My responsibilities were:- Building up a deep knowledge and understanding of the whole database- A/B-Testings with various stakeholders- specific Analyses for different Business Units- Machine Learning and Clustering In the course of the Traineeship 3 different rotations of 4 months were made in different departments of Swisscom:- Work Smart Coach: Coaching, Key Account Management- Project Manager: Innovation, Sales and Services- Product Manager: Innovation & Data AnalyticsThe three projects made it possible to check out different positions. In the end I stayed at the last one and became Data Analyst & Product Manager at the Swisscom TV Team.
