Show less I worked as a software engineer at Nasle-Hoshmand-Farda smart school to develop a comprehensive web based portal for managing all aspects of student life and academics. The portal aimed to be a one-stop solution for students, parents, teachers and school administrators.Some of the key features developed and implemented in the portal included:• Student admission and records management: Facilitated online student admission, maintained student profiles, records, documents, etc. Built modules to monitor student attendance, fees, scholarships, etc.• Online class management: Built modules for teachers to create classes, assign homework, upload resources, take attendance, share announcements, and monitor student performance.• Digital content creation and sharing: Enabled teachers and students to upload/share notes, slides, video lectures, assignments, quizzes, etc. on the portal.• Exam management: Created modules to schedule exams, define question papers, declare results, generate reports, and notify parents/students.• Fee payment gateway: Integrated a payment gateway to enable online collection of school fees from parents.• Messaging and announcements: Built channels for messaging, alerts, notifications and announcements that could be accessed by students, parents and teachers on the portal and via mobile apps.• Reporting and analytics: Incorporated dashboards and reporting modules to analyze student performance, fees receivables, exam results, attendance statistics and more which provided key insights to improve operations.This work experience helped me strengthen my skills in web technology stacks, software architecture, database management, user experience design, and Agile methodology. The platform was created with the intention of bringing people together and making it easier for them to connect over shared interests. My personal experience with Ebento began when I participated in the Else conference, a gathering of entrepreneurs from all walks of life. During this event, the idea for Ebento was selected as one of the most promising concepts.I quickly realized that I wanted to be a part of this exciting new venture and immediately set out to build a team capable of creating a viable solution. To ensure that our team members were equipped with all the necessary skills, we enrolled everyone in a comprehensive three-month practical business development course.Despite facing several challenges along the way, including limited resources and funding constraints, we remained committed to our vision and worked tirelessly towards achieving our goals. As one of the leaders on the project, my responsibilities included overseeing every aspect of development - from building backend infrastructure to designing mobile applications and even delivering speeches at public events.After three years spent pouring our hearts into this project, we ultimately came to accept that there simply wasn't enough demand or revenue potential to sustain it any longer. Nonetheless, I remain incredibly proud of what we accomplished during those intense years - not just in terms of tangible results but also in terms of personal growth and development. Show less
