Our ICAT project, focused on developing an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) for bicycles, achieved the top position among the Mechanical Department's ICAT projects. We received appreciation from esteemed senior faculty members including Brig Dr. Muhammad Khurrum (Head of Mechanical Department), Dr. Umair MANZOOR (Dean of Post Graduate Education), and Lt. General Khalid Asghar (Ex. Rector of the National University of Technology, Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed Road (old I.J Principal Road, Post Office Shaighan, Postal Code 46000 I-12, Islamabad). The successful implementation of the ABS system highlighted our team's dedication, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence. Our project aimed to enhance bicycle safety by preventing wheel lock-up during braking maneuvers, thus improving control and stability. By addressing the need for advanced braking systems in the bicycle industry, we contributed to its growth, competitiveness, and sustainability.Tool Usage:Our tools included Arduino software for programming the ABS system, a stepper motor for tire motion, 12V batteries to power the motor, and lithium-ion batteries for the Arduino. We utilized various ABS components, standard bicycle braking system components, and a data acquisition system for testing and evaluation. CAD software facilitated design and modeling, while workshop tools ensured proper assembly and maintenance.Final Result:Our achievements in the ICAT projects of the Mechanical Department underscored the significance of our project in the field of mechanical engineering. We take pride in the recognition received from senior faculty members, as it demonstrates the impact and potential of our work. These accomplishments strengthen our confidence for future endeavors and our commitment to contributing to the field.Project Members:Hafiz Muhammad Bin ZubairChoudhry Muhammad SalmanMuhammad Aqib AbbasiRao Muhammad Abu BakarHafiz Basit AliHafiz Muhammad Adil Choudhry Show less

This project demonstrates our dedication, technical skills, and commitment to innovation.Project Goal:Our project aimed to develop a system for automatically filling a water tank, eliminating the need for manual intervention. This system enhances water management efficiency and user convenience.Project Highlights:Automated Filling: The system automatically fills the tank to a predetermined level, preventing overflows and ensuring a consistent water supply.Improved Efficiency: Manual monitoring and filling are no longer required, saving time and effort.Technical Details:Microcontroller: We utilized a microcontroller (similar to Arduino) to program the control logic of the system.Sensors: Water level sensors were used to detect the water level in the tank and trigger the filling mechanism.Solenoid Valve: A solenoid valve served as the control point for water flow, opening and closing based on sensor readings.Power Supply: A suitable power source (e.g., batteries or mains power) provided the necessary electrical power for the system.Tools and Techniques:Software: Programming software facilitated the development of the control logic for the microcontroller.CAD Software: We used CAD software to design and model the system components for accurate assembly. Conclusion:The successful development of the Automatic Water Filling Tank system showcases our team's ability to apply technical knowledge and solve practical problems. This project has the potential to improve water management in various applications, such as homes, gardens, and industrial settings. We are proud of our accomplishments and motivated to pursue further innovative projects in the future.Team Members:Hafiz Muhammad Bin ZubairShahzaib Mehmood JuttSaifullah Jamil MeherMuhammad Zohaib AkhtarMuhammad Abdullah Gujrati Show less
