  Lead Structural Repair Technician

  I started at Momentum BMW West as a apprentice for a body repair technician. Within a year I gained enough knowledge to become a body technician. Over the years I have gained extensive knowledge and experience about collision repair specializing in European auto makers. I was a top producing technician with several certifications with a specialization in Aluminum Structural Repair.I was responsible to repair customers cars per manufactures specifications. Which can vary from each manufacture. This also includes specialized structural repairs like with the Audi Aluminum and BMW Aluminum repairs, which I was extensively trained on how to perform this repairs. In addition I was extensively trained to service and repair the BMW 3 series and BMW Z4 convertible hardtop.I was commonly referred as the technician that can repair it right the first time and complete the repairs in a timely manner. I was also known to keep my workspace clean and organized, as I have always considered a messy workspace makes for a messy mind. Show less

  An extension to my existing duties with Program Deliver to include all Specialty Training delivered by I-CAR. Examples would include ADAS and EV training delivered at our Chicago Tech Center and Jaguar / Land Rover welding programs. This position manages the Program Delivery team, to include I-CAR's Welding, Hands-On, Live, Virtual and In-Shop Knowledge Assessment programs. This team defines and maintains internal processes, SOP's, instructor training curriculum, and the overall delivery design of these products. This team also delivers all instructor training and consults for other I-CAR departments. This position entails providing Instructor support, Instructor training both current and new instructors, and course development. I served I-CAR in this capacity on a national level that covers the entire US pertaining to the in shop training programs. Administered I-CAR's PDP welding training and certification in GMA (MIG) welding steel, steel structural, and GMA (MIG) Aluminum. I reached out to I-CAR so I could share my knowledge and experience with the collision industry. I quickly learned how beneficial and satisfying teaching others about collision repair can be. I also found I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others so they can do their job better.
