G.grails is a personal fashion project consisting of second-hand, upcycled, and reworked apparel, something I have been passionate about since I was just a child. This project, and the social media accounts that go with it, were created in an effort to hold myself accountable for working on what brings me joy. G.grails social media accounts lie as a central place to display my creative and technical growth, as well as serving as a catalog of my beloved creations as I continue creating 1 of 1 pieces from old and unused items. Beyond the documentation of sustainable fashion, G.grails is an outlet for me to celebrate shopping secondhand and help people think outside the box when it comes to the lifespan of fashion. Sustainability in the fashion industry is very important, and second-hand and vintage apparel has been a growing passion of mine since I was a little girl. Combining my passion for and knowledge of the industry and experience sewing, I was able to truly begin my fashion upcycling journey in March 2020 and it is something that has helped immensely to drive my creativity and productivity. With that, second-hand, vintage and upcycled/reworked apparel has become more and more eagerly pursued over the last few years, and it is a topic (and hobby) I love to be able to share with others.
