This makes the Detail Tech a valuable asset to the success of the dealership, and Used Car Department especially. When a polished and professional presentation is critical to the continued success of the business, the appearance of its products is crucial.   I assisted with the logistics of incoming freight in the warehouse of a store averaging daily sale in the low-to-mid $200,000. This put it among the highest volume locations of the over 1,700 Target stores in the the United States.Working overnights (10pm-8am) allowed the free movement of freight around the store for flow team members which wouldn't be feasible during regular business hours. Because of my recognized reliability and attention to detail, I was cross-trained in several different specialized areas to be as flexible as possible.I took this job as preparation for working in law enforcement. Working overnight shifts would allow me to become acquainted with sleeping during the day. Being on my feet and lifting boxes allowed me to build strength and endurance. Show less

The better equipped and trained our staff the better we can perform this important service.To that end, I strongly encourage every new deputy to find areas of law enforcement that interest them. Each deputy brings a unique skillset to our team, so I wish to build on those skills by encouraging them to continue their personal and professional development.   Each month I sign up for a handful of 24-hour shifts with the New England Volunteer Ambulance Service. I often drive the ambulance or assist the Paramedic in the back by administering BLS medical care as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician.Volunteering with the ambulance allows me to keep my emergency medical skills current as well as serve the community in another way. Between December 2013 and June 2019, I was certified through the State of North Dakota as an Emergency Medical Responder. I maintained EMR status until receiving my NR-EMT certification in 2019.

  The Southwest Crisis Negotiation Team is the counterpart to the Southwest Tactical Team, better known as SWAT. Operated by the Dickinson Police Department, all members of both teams are volunteers from area law enforcement agencies who respond to situations in which traditional police presence and tactics have not succeeded.My primary role on the Crisis Negotiation Team is to speak with the subject(s) in an attempt to influence their decision to find a peaceful resolution to the situation.   I am certified to instruct general police topics and develop courses which can be attended by current North Dakota POST-certified officers or academy students for continuing education hours.The trainings I've developed and conducted for both law enforcement officers and EMS personnel were about crisis negotiation and how it applies to their respective fields. Since 2020, I have been a certified Taser Instructor and conduct certification/recertification courses for the Taser X26-P, X2, and Taser 7 CEWs using Axon-developed training presentations and materials.
