  At the Molecular Endocrinology Laboratory at the Department of BSBE, IIT Guwahati, I worked on a multi-institutional clinical trial on breast cancer and completed the following tasks:1) Served as the point of contact between clinical oncologists at Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati, and the research team at IIT-Guwahati2) Obtained written informed consent from patients, collected breast tumor samples, and maintained a database of patients' clinical data, including immunohistochemical data3) Processed the tumor samples, extracted RNA, and prepared them for RNA-sequencing4) Designed primers, optimized PCR conditions, and profiled the expression of canonical and non-canonical estrogen receptors in a panel of breast cancer cell lines5) Studied the expression of non-canonical estrogen receptors in breast tumor tissues at both mRNA and protein levels6) Optimized plasmid standard curves from cloned estrogen receptor genes for their absolute quantification in tissue samples Show less
