  Activities and Societies: Pi Kappa Lambda, Phi Eta Sigma, Chamber Music Performance, Relay for Life, Madstop Recording Studio Completed the Music Teacher Education Bachelor of Music to teach music to students age 2-18, with a specialty in string orchestra. I performed on cello, finishing as first chair cellist of the Symphony Orchestra by my final year. I also researched methods for teaching styles of music outside of classical music, including jazz, Irish music, klezmer, and rock music, with youth string orchestra students through the Kilmer Grant and Apprenticeship.

  Activities and Societies: UCC Trad Society, Swim Club, Irish Traditional Music Sessions Developed skills as an ethnographer, writer, researcher, and musician. My thesis was titled: Navigating Tradition and Innovation: an Ethnographic Study of the Cello in Irish Traditional Music and was based on a case study of the creative practices of cellists currently performing Irish traditional music.

  Activities and Societies: Development of YouTube Channel for performances on Cello, Crane Cello Ensemble, Irish Traditional Music Sessions, Early Music Ensemble, UCC Orchestra, UCC Trad Society, South Indian Carnatic Music performance I research the creative practices of instrumentalists in Irish traditional music and seek to understand the emerging trends surrounding innovation in contemporary performances of Irish traditional music, especially in relation to ideas about creativity within the music tradition.
