  I started my career in this company as a Trainee DBA and with challenges and rigourous efforts groomed into a technically sound DBA. I had wonderful guidances from my senior who would motivate and give us challenges on DBA skills when working on Production. I was put on Production Database with just 6 to 9 months of experience and from there on i was working on Production Database of one of the depositories of INDIA C.D.S.L. Thats when i understood what responsibility was. How tough was it to be in shoes of DBA and be alert on JOB. The Size of Database though was about few GBs but the tasks of monitoring and performance was really challenging. Show less

  I had Joined TechMahindra as Jr DBA with just an experience of 3Yrs 11 Months. From then my Journey in Techmahindra has been very challenging and it helped me grow as DBA. My very first project gained me a value as a person who worked onsite for 3 months within an environment which is rich of challenges and learnings for any DBA. I had a chance to be a part of team which installed and setup 5 RAC setups each of 9i version and 10g version. Back from onsite i started working from offshore on BT projects where in the challenges did not end. The application Tuning, Sizing of database, Implementation of environment setups. Application Handholding. Handholding with Development teams for Live releases and performance tuning was also challenging. Meanwhile I was promoted to 2nd Level and Role changed to DBA. Along with Technical expertise there also were a challenge to groom the Juniors and bring them to a level to cater the live environments. I gained a good experience about how to manage & groom the Jr DBAs. Show less

  Working as an Senior Manager for HDFC Bank where the role is defined majorly around Incident Management support role for Banks major applications. Primarily this role requires maintaining maximum uptime of applications as per the SLA. This includes catering all incidents related to Application Servers like WebSphere, Weblogic along with my expertise domain of Oracle DBA. Working in this role also requires closely work with Senior management to provide timely update at the time of Incidents and provide monthly incident statistical analysis reports.
