Key highlights included ICMA training sessions in Washington, DC, and attendance at the ICMA Annual Conference in Nashville. These experiences deepened my understanding of leadership, ethics, and the foundations of sustainable community development. An invaluable part of my journey was a three-week internship in the Town of Norwood, where I explored waste management and sustainable practices at the local level. Witnessing the positive impact of these initiatives reinforced my commitment to sustainability. Interacting with diverse, young leaders from around the world during the program underscored the global nature of sustainability challenges and the power of collaboration. After the program, I initiated knowledge-sharing programs with the Tamil Youth Association and former colleagues, empowering youth with newfound insights and skills. Show less
