      Responsible for tutoring students enrolled in English composition courses, and those preparing to take the University's Writing Proficiency Examination. Duties involved providing grammatical and structural assistance, editing essays, and scheduling students. As a professional tutor, acted as a liaison between student tutors and faculty. Also tutored upper level English majors in American and British literature, and acted as a substitute instructor for numerous faculty members' writing/English classes. Participated in the planning and execution of interdepartmental workshops and roundtable discussions. Spent three summers working closely with the University's Educational Opportunity Fund, tutoring roughly thirty pre-freshman on a daily basis. Show less

      Co-lead for CLEP Analyzing and Interpreting Literature exam, which includes developing/reviewing items, training faculty committee members, and working with faculty committee to determine new passages for upcoming test forms. Test Development Lead for both Success Navigator and FACETS, which includes WorkForce 1 product development. Success Navigator is used in conjunction with college entrance and placement exams to ensure proper placement for incoming freshman and nontraditional students. WorkForce is a personality assessment used by hiring mangers and recruiters, and designed to be resistant to be "fake resistant", unlike standard non-cog assessments like the Myers-Briggs. Additional work on non-cognitive assessments: involved in YouScience, Success Navigator, and FACETS project. Write and review items and passages for SAT Writing and PARCC examinations. Compose passages and develop innovative items for CBAL Research Tool, designed to aide students in finding, assessing and utilizing sources, and score responses to CBAL prompts written by middle school and high school test takers.
