  As a novice, Geryl was given an opportunity to join the company I'M Technologies Limited, which was subsequently acquired by the French giant in the smartcard industry. With less than a year of working experience after graduating from Temasek Polytechnic, Geryl had managed to pick up the skill set of managing the suppliers at a remote location. He had managed to work on methodologies to monitor the performance of their suppliers who are based overseas in China, Taiwan and Indonesia, and ensuring that products delivered to end customers are accurate. There were also opportunities to travel to these suppliers to audit their performances and come in touch with communication with the management of these suppliers and understand the business nature in these countries to some extent.   As the head of the Quality Control section for the organisation, Geryl was tasked to oversee the entire operations of the Quality Control within the production line. From managing the inspectors to standardising the procedures within the production floor, Geryl was exposed to a full cycle of the supply chain management. On top of these responsibilities, Geryl had also undertaken the role of assisting the Quality Assurance Department in managing the Quality and Environmental Management Systems, as an internal auditor as well as coordinator. He was also responsible to attend to the feedback of quality issues from the clients, spearheading efforts in analysing the root cause of issues as well as working out on actions and implementing them to correct and prevent the issue from recurring.
