  The Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition is an annual case-based business competition for business students across Ontario. The responsibilities of this position included stage, venue, and equipment setup as well as operation during the event. All volunteers were expected to complete their tasks competently, as well as adapt to sudden schedule changes and requests.

Audio systems include main speakers, subwoofers, stage monitors, handheld wireless microphones, and stage microphones. Video systems include operation of Resolume output to a large video wall on stage. Emcee responsibilities include queuing music and announcing performances.

  Stagehand

  Stagehands are responsible for the successful and efficient set-up and teardown of a wide variety of live events ranging from corporate to entertainment. Duties include AV equipment set-up such as audio PA systems, LED video walls, lighting fixtures, cable running, as well as building and dismantling stage decks and truss. The position often involves working with new team members every call, so excellent cooperation and communication skills are critical for success.
