  ► Coordinated and supervised teams of up to 25 workers in the daily provision of high pressure water blasting services across the site, including in-field supervision of major outages, ensuring the on-time, within budget and safe completion of such outages and fixed price de-scaling projects► Attended multiple scheduling meetings to discuss optimal periods to complete shutdown projects, and scoped all other jobs and associated budget estimates pertaining to high pressure water blasting works for maintenance requirements► Completed and oversaw the completion of pre-start safety checks to ensure safe operability of high pressure water blasting equipment as part of general maintenance and diagnostic and repair responsibilities ► Facilitated daily pre-start safety meetings to discuss ongoing safety issues across the work site and to ensure a coordinated approach to daily activities on-site► Worked closely with vendors to develop new equipment for the de-scaling and cleaning of multiple vessels► Updated internal systems in relation to incident reporting and related in-field investigations► Received a Billet Award for successful development of work scopes and overall productivity. Show less I was initially employed as an Operator and through my tenure I was promoted to Supervisor for teams of up to 25. I was part of the shutdown crew and whilst we worked on many shutdowns across WA including iron ore and gold mining and offshore installations, most of my time was spent across Alcoa’s Wagerup, Pinjarra and Kwinana alumina refineries. Associated role deliverables and achievements included (but not limited to):► As a Leading Hand then Supervisor, I led the delivery of HPWJ projects for shutdowns within schedule, cost, quality and safety parameters by identifying critical tasks, planning accordingly, focusing resources on tackling prioritised items first, providing technical and procedural guidance and support, and ensuring the on-time availability of critical equipment ► Operated high pressure water jetting (HPWJ) gear including ultra-high pressure water jetting pumps and equipment, fixed and flexible lancing for heater tubes and pipework, tank cleaning heads, pipe de-scaling (up to 1450bar) using hose reels and other equipment, and a wide range of remote control de-scale rigs including Hammelmann, Brokk and WOMA► High pressure water jetting for pipe and tube cleaning and de-scaling, tank and vessel cleaning, removal of protective and surface coatings, and general plant de-scaling, for onshore mining and refining, and offshore oil and gas shutdowns► Utilised various boroscope cameras for inspections to ensure safe and high-quality work practices were being followed at all times► Catalyst handling services including loading and unloading, grading, transportation and storage of spent catalyst► Operated Kingvac and Spoutvac vacuum trucks to gather, transport and transfer materials and waste.   Working predominantly on-site at Ichthys, with additional projects undertaken at the Santos GLNG Downstream Facility on Curtis Island, and BP’s Kwinana oil refinery, associated role deliverables and achievements have included (but not been limited to):► Currently working as Leading Hand for the condensate polishing/waste water treatment crew (and previously for the aqua milling crew for pre-commissioning works), coordinating and leading a team of up to 10 workers in the safe and efficient commissioning of the CCPP, ensuring all aspects of high pressure water jetting/blasting is performed to NACE standards, as well as ensuring water and condensate quality are to required specifications► Completing detailed risk assessments such as JHA’s, JSA’s and SWMS’s to scope, identify and control workplace hazards prior to commencing jobs, leading by example regarding HSEQ compliance to ensure safety for people, the equipment and the environment, and holding safety interactions to raise site safety awareness (and same for all roles listed below)► Led my team to the successful completion of aqua milling and line blowing scopes for the CCPP ahead of schedule, and to such a high standard that we received an “IIF High Performing Team of the Month”► Identifying critical tasks, prioritising accordingly, giving clear directions, ensuring we tackle prioritised items first, and providing technical and procedural guidance, support and mentoring► Operating large compressor and pump spreads for applications such as desiccant drying, leak testing and line blowing► Punch listing and isolations using P&ID's to ensure correct placements under PTW and LOTO requirements► Online leak sealing at to prevent the need for shutdown of plant critical equipment► N2He leak testing (membrane) to ensure quality specifications are met for all completed pipe work ► Assisting with chemical cleaning and chemical de-contamination works using Zyme flow products.
