  Provided archaeological support to both SCAT and Cleanup operations in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, and Alabama. Performed reconnaissance surveys to assess potential for archaeological sites within oiled shorelines; delineated archaeological sites affected by oiling; processed and photographed artifacts that were collected as a result of fieldwork. Conducted reports of fieldwork from Section 106 site visits within oiled shorelines. Phase I Archaeological survey of Cat Island, Mississippi. Conducted subsurface testing along the island’s shoreline and delineated both previously and newly recorded sites.Assisted in the archaeological survey and condition assessment for historic Antebellum/Civil War-era Fort Livingston (16JE49) on Grande Terre Island, Louisiana. Johnson Assisted in the magnetometer survey as part of BP oil spill cultural resources response in order to discover subsurface cultural deposits prior to ground-disturbing cultural resource delineation and conservation analysis. Johnson also conducted a phase I survey of the fort, completing over 200 systematic subsurface tests. Show less
