Hired as Chief Engineer to provide engineering support in an effort to increase overall plant efficiency and update plant infrastructure. Manage the maintenance budget over $1MM: repair and maintenance, labor, utilities, contracts etc. Responsible for hiring, training, and evaluate performance of maintenance technicians. Responsible for handle all equipment maintenance, and facility aspects, as well as, compliance to local, state and federal environmental offices (HazMat, DHAC) and safety (OSHA) matters. Major accomplishments: maintained an average of 1.2% equipment downtime for past two years, have originated energy audits dropping consumption of water 12%, electricity 16% and natural gas 4.8% saving over $56K/year.
