  During my 10-week workplace with the City of Launceston, Edmund was responsible for the following duties • Reviewed the existing footpath and cycling assets surrounding the new UTAS Inveresk campus and identify gaps in pedestrians and cycling connectivity including new works, improvements and wayfinding to improve safety• Prepared a report to identify risk locations between power lines and street trees and to identify suburban areas that have poor tree coverage and make recommendations regarding locations to include street trees to improve the environment• Conducted post-project reviews of bridges with internal stakeholders to identify what went well, what can be improved and benefits realisation• Conducted site visits with internal stakeholders to assess bridge projects in order accurately scope work• Created an asset monitoring plan to appropriately inform internal stakeholders and improve asset management Show less

  • Undertake asset inspections and collections condition data to improve asset management • Assist in the development of strategic documents such as Asset Management Plans • Investigate and solve issues regarding council's assets by conducting technical research and/or technical assessments • Assist in the delivery of operational and maintenance works as required for different asset portfolios • Assist in the identification of new, upgrade or renewal works to inform annual and tactical planning for council's asset portfolios• Undertake and coordinate the inspection of road assets • Undertake acquisition, modelling and management of road asset condition data. • Develop road asset renewal programs - Road reseal programs - Footpath reseal programs - Road asset capital works programs• Provide advice to project managers during the delivery of road asset projects• Liaise with service providers relating to their works in the Council road reserve. • Investigate issues and respond to customer enquires regarding road assets considered to involve technical research and/or technical assessment • Support the preparation and maintenance of the Road Asset Management Plan. Show less During my graduate year in the City of Launceston Cadetship I was responsible for:• Conducted asset inspections such as flood levee, traffic intersection and bridge inspections to improve asset management• Conducted a residential parking audit project in one of the central suburbs in Launceston to improve asset management• Developed a water quality initiative plan within the stormwater network• Provided support in the development of strategic documents such as the Stormwater System Management Plans• Provided documentation and design support planning future capital works projects within the stormwater network• Successfully applied an innovative solution to gather onsite GIS data by contractors to significantly save time Show less
