  • catch up with onsite counterparts to understand client requirements• synthesize the information from the call with onsite and help my team make sense of it• decide the approach while thinking through possible deadlocks in advance. typically the business problems cannot be solved using a linear/single line of thought. some days, would found deeply engrossed in debugging a code, writing a program while on other days, and could be designing/write a dashboards/reports/algorithms or defining the right architecture. in short, it would involve hands-on delivery – be it brainstorming on a project, or writing some logical coding/designing the dashboards/reports in bigdata/vba/tableau/xcelsius/hpqc…etc. or whatever technology it takes, preparing a deck• meet up with some team members to understand their problems/concerns and to enthuse them in general. ensure to have an open work culture and encourage sharing of ideas• also make time to attend some knowledge sharing sessions to awaken senses. • the workday stretches into late evenings and with talking to the client, presenting insights from work of the team performed during the day and close the day by addressing concerns if any show less -liaison between the client and the delivery team.-engage with the client to understand business dynamics and identify questions that can be addressed through analytics.-communicate expectations and establishes deadlines in agreement with team members and business needs.-manage operational workflow and ensure seamless delivery for both quick turnaround analysis and long term projects.-ability to deliver well organized data analysis through reporting, dashboards, modeling and trend analysis.-should be able to do drill down analysis of key business problems, interpret results, generate insight and recommend strategies.-ability to use quantitative analysis and statistical/mathematical methods to solve business problems.-manage assignments with minimal intervention.-ensure that the analytical process addresses the business needs and adds value to the client.-should consistently deliver high-quality and error free reports and presentations to the client.-ability to conduct presentations and share analytical results to multiple client side stakeholders.-develop creative and lasting solutions for client, industry and organizational needs.-should be able to manage self and support the team in learning and execution of the projects.-contribute to preparing business proposals and collateral development.-identify and harvest new business opportunities at the client side. show less -communicate effectively with client/ onsite personnel and document understanding and action items from meetings.-assist in delivering well organized reports, dashboards, data analysis and statistical models.-ensure error-free and high-quality outputs to the client / manager.-documents work effectively to ensure that the manager / client are comfortable with both work-in process and end deliverables.-actively gathers and shares domain related knowledge in forums within the organization.-manages his / her time well to contribute to at least one organization initiative. show less
