      In being a centre assistant apprenticeship at the Atkinson means I need to have a wide knowledge of all services that we provide in the building, During my first year at the Atkinson I was based on the box office/ reception desk, where my duties included;• I Advise and allocate seating for ticket sales/events using a bespoke software • I process money transactions for the gift shop, show/event bookings and involved reconciliation of end of day cashing up the tills• I answer general inquiries face to face at the counter, through email and over the phone regarding; what’s on, show enquires/bookings and payments.• In being based on the main reception desk I was responsible for co-ordinating deliveries round the building• On a daily basis I maintain the leaflet displays, ensuing they are all kept in date. • I add new customers by inputting personal data to the customer data base and regularly check the grammar of records keeping them up-to-date.• Signing customers up to the mailing list and printing the online post to go out daily.In my second year, I was integrated into the library and on the information desk. Giving me additional duties;• Maintain the constant rotation of the library displays, issuing books, memberships, reservations and requests using bespoke software dedicated to the library. • Advising customers on bus routes, answering inquires on local information & attractions.• In using the online royal mail online business account to sending out the buildings mail.
