    • Marks and Spencer

      Nov 2001 - Aug 2006
      Sales Advisor

To help fund me through my studies at Sixth Form College and throughout University I worked part time at Marks and Spencer in the Lingerie department. What was a seasonal temporary contract, I worked my way to a permanent position committing to more hours in the Food department, before being enlisted to be a part of the brand new Per Una department to assist the dedicated team. Here I assisted customers with their needs and was dedicated to enhancing their shopping experience. I made customer orders over the telephone and liaised with other stores over stock; setting up store to store transfers of products. I was given extra responsibilities on the shop floor such a helping with the visual merchandising and refreshing displays; emphasising new products that had come into store. My passion for women's clothing built up my conscientiousness and I made it my duty to have excellent product knowledge of what I was selling to pass on confidently to the customer, a trait that has continued to shape me today.
