      Turbine Project Manager within the Major Projects group. Responsible for turbine outage planning by developing project plans, writing overhaul specifications, evaluating bids, developing part kits and writing purchase orders. Act as Turbine Outage Manager by overseeing the implementation of the overhaul contract, evaluate inspection results, evaluate and / or recommend repair plans to ensure all activities meet quality standards while maintaining schedule and budget. Supported operations and maintenance departments with real time analysis and troubleshooting of problems. Project Manager on assigned capital and O&M projects of various sizes between $40,000 to $3 Million. Project areas included Boiler Air, Flyash Handling, Heat Exchangers, Turbine Generators, Chimneys and Coal Handling systems. Site Quality Assurance representative for corporate R-Stamp welding program. Provided predictive maintenance support for all 4 coal fired power plants. Vibration analysis, motor current spectrum analysis, thermography and oil analysis. Responsibilities also included field balancing large rotating equipment such as turbines, fans and motors. Helped maintain airworthiness of corporate rotor wing fleet by performing mandated inspections and field maintenance / overhaul tasks as required. Responsible for documentation of aircraft maintenance activity.       Build and manage a field services group within the Power Service Shop to perform turbine generator outages within the TVA combined cycle and combustion turbine fleet. - Successfully hired multiple direct reports to implement gas turbine and generator overhaul projects- Assembled project plans which were awarded following a competitively bid process to secure work.- During last 18 months, team successfully completed Hot Gas Path Inspections on multiple 7EA units without return to service issues, on schedule and under budget.- During last 18 months, team successfully completed Major Overhauls on multiple GE A10 Steam Turbine units without return to service issues, on schedule and at or under budget. - During last 18 months, team successfully completed an emergency Major Overhaul on a GE 5N Gas Turbine with no return to service issues during summer peak season. Reviewed and approved all steam turbine outage budgets and labor plans within the department. Conducted assessments of outages to evaluate safety and quality performance. Developed corrective actions to issues as they happened and completed root cause analyses using various techniques as they were required. - Lost generation caused by human performance issues by within the department decreased by 35% between Jan 2005 and Dec 2007 and then stayed at low levels. - Over 100 outages successfully completed by department during time period.
