  As a Merchandising Assistant Director I was responsible for all operations of the supermarket with a high emphasis on in-stock and merchandising/sales planning for the store. Weekly my role was to ensure my team has the correct sale displays up in correlation with the company plan. Further, I had to establish connections with vendors and third parties who also had sale items in the store which ensured great in-stock and displays being up in time. Lastly in this role I completed a project for our store called Backroom 5s which organized, labeled and cleaned up a lot of our backrooms which helped work efficiency. My role was to lead a team of 10-12 associates on a council omitted to customer service ideas, bettering the work environment for our associates, and involvement in our community through volunteering. Our stores had a program called OSAT (Overall Satisfaction Survey) driven by SMG. In this role I helped coach other leaders and drive results to have increased OSAT scores over the 1 year period at this location in both friendly and in-stock scores. In my 3 years as a team lead for the front end I was responsible for managing 30+ associates along with checkout wait times, customer service, and cleanliness of the store. In this role I pushed myself to re-training all associates on the front-end regarding our wait times at checkout. With this effort we went from below passing score on checkout wait time to consistently hitting the scores over the next 3-6 months. In my 1 year was a Wall-Deli Team lead I managed a section of the store for refrigerated products that were highly perishable. At 18 I was promoted to a cashier which I assisted team leads with managing checkout wait times. After a year I asked to be in the grocery department to learn a different side of the store and was promoted to Graveyard Grocery Stocker. 6 months later promoted to Grocery Clerk then backup Dairy lead/Wall-deli Lead. As an hourly team associate I also dedicated a lot of time to non-profit work with Smith's such as Children's Miracle Network and the fight against breast cancer. Show less
