Each day I have the opportunity to be a role model and teach them how to “show up” in meaningful ways in our community. My husband and I collaborate on scheduling opportunities for us as a family to be participate in our community. We also create team efort projects that focus on our overall wellness within out home.

  I serve as a Parent volunteer with Kids Voting Durham; a non-profit, non-partisan effort to help young people understand and believe in the power they can have as active, well-informed citizens and voters. Students learn about and experience democracy through a combination of classroom and other education activities, an authentic election and voting experience, and community and family dialogue.
