      Nov 2015 - Mar 2016
      Sales Floor Team Member

My overall job was to respond to needs of a dynamic customer base, providing store information, and following up when necessary. I felt that my most important job every shift was to represent the company as sharper and more customer friendly than other grocery stores as we were competing in the high quality, high price grocer niche. The daily tasks were operating the POS cash register, which involved counting money in the cash drawers to ensure the amount was correct and stocking grocery store products, paying close attention to the presentation of store and expiration dates to ensure minimal inventory waste. • Investment Company Institute

      Dec 2015 - Mar 2022
      Research Associate

I collect, process, and check data surveys on open-end mutual funds and help produce an aggregate Monthly Trends report that is disrupted to member companies and government boards. I have been responsible for a range of mutual fund complexes within the report that we produce. Managing the range involves establishing relationships with data providers and reaching out for insights or resolutions when there are survey issues or irregularities. Part of working in the ICI Statistics department involves collaborating with other ICI teams who produce different reports and diagnosing any discrepancies between the respective data we are showing. One area of importance is if other reports are capturing funds that are not reporting to the Monthly survey. Resolving this issue may involve establishing a new relationship with a mutual fund company to entice them to create a survey and start reporting their data. As part of being promoted to a Research Associate, I have been tasked with leading a bi-quarterly meeting between our Monthly and Weekly teams to discuss differences between the reports. Show less

      Mar 2022 - now
      Finance Manager

As a Finance Manager, in the Production department, I help to maintain the financial accountability for the NewsHour operating budget, which includes tracking and reporting on multiple restricted grants and any special event coverage. I use Concur and Great Plains to track news production projects through budget creation, expense processing, and final delivery of financial report. To reconcile the revenue recognized to project expenses and accounting for G&A rates, we have monthly meetings with the Corporate Controller; the goal of these meetings is to provide the maximum amount of available funding for unrestricted and breaking news coverage. I work directly with internal employees and external vendors to process expenses per our audit-conscious procedures for gathering personal information and retaining records. Since Fall 2023, I have served as the primary contact for assembling costs and budget updates for the $7 Million Election 2024 coverage, spread across 8 individual grants, spanning 19 months, delivering quarterly budget updates and estimates to completion.
