      Jun 1979 - Sept 1982
      Apprentice Diamond Sawyer

Richard G. Salzman worked with his father, a master diamond sawyer, for 3 years. During that time, he learned how to mark rough diamonds, set them in cement in "dops" or copper holders, and painstakingly "saw" or cut the diamond to completion so as to get the maximum weight on both halves, after the diamond is sawed. This is the first step in manufacturing the finished, polished goods. By the time Richard entered law school in 1982, he had successfully sawed thousands of diamonds ranging in size from "melees" (smaller than 1/5 carat) to diamonds of 8-10 carat weight. Show less

      Senior Litigation Attorney and Owner

Arrested? Worried about going to jail? Are you about to let your recent arrest ruin your life? I know this is a tough situation for you and the last thing you want to do is call an attorney about it. But let's see if I can give you some hope... that's why I'm offering you a Complimentary Strategy Session, to see what we can do to make things better for you. In our strategy session we'll accomplish three things:1. We'll go over your case in detail, write down all the facts in a concise and detailed summary and make an in-depth assessment;2. then we'll talk about the legal issues involved, the charges and the penalties you are facing;3. I'll carefully consider every legal challenge available and the defenses I can raise to help get your case dismissed prior to your arraignment hearing; we'll go over what plea bargains may be available and my plan of attack. I'll give you clarity and peace of mind because you'll know the laws involved and you'll have a game-plan instead of uncertainty.I am a confident, skilled and aggressive Criminal Defense attorney with 31 years experience, successfully defending clients accused of various crimes; from simple misdemeanors to complex felonies. Recently, in a case where a client faced deportation, I persuaded the Trial Court to allow the client to withdraw his 1996 guilty plea and have his conviction vacated 13 years after that case was closed. The State appealed to the 4th District Court of Appeals, the 4th DCA affirmed the Trial Court's ruling, giving us the win on the appeal. Both the criminal case and the deportation proceedings were dismissed. Don't let procrastination, hesitation or fear stop you from fighting back! Call me TODAY to schedule your Complimentary Strategy Session (954) 981-0336 and take back your life! Show less
