SummaryAll things Lab Automation Software Development - C# & PythonData Science - Python & JuliaCloud Engineering - AWSMy role has developed more into Lab Automation where I am building my own Orchestration Platform from the ground up. The value of this being the new way in which we can think about the Lab Experiments we do in our group - its very exciting to see this work being used daily in the lab. The work has also touched on Lab Digitisation as well. I am really energised about how we bring coding together with chemistry to accelerate our delivery. Other key areas include the use of AWS to store and access data in a scalable way (early days here)The data science part of my role has allowed me to use my background with python to aid the group in improving/accelerating how we handle data alongside empowering people to code themselves. Its been really exciting seeing this area grow in our group. This has been a really exciting development for me and one I have a passion for and have driven hard. The data science role has allowed me to use my background with python and c# to build custom scripts or applications to accelerate data analysis tasks within the group. These applications include building databases (Neo4j, SQL), Front Ends (Oracle Apex, WPF and Blazor) and scripts that improve statistical analysis (primarily around nonlinear regression and statistical inferences). Providing training when delivering these apps has been a really enjoyable experience. Show less
