  This was my first position as a physical therapist and taught me many valuable skills. I grew in my ability to manage treatment for multiple patients at the same time in the outpatient setting. I designed and implemented individualized care to rehabilitate 10 to 17 patients per shift. The patients I worked with ranged from youth to the elderly and presented with a variety of injuries or physical activity-related issues.

  While at Jordan Physical Therapy I had the joy of working with mostly older adults in the outpatient setting. Many of the patients I worked with enjoyed recreational sports such as golf, pickleball, and tennis. I grew in my understanding of how to design and implement an appropriate rehab program for this population. I also had the pleasure of working with youth and semi-professional athletes, equipping them with tailored exercise programs to improve sport performance.   Working as a contractor for Live Life was my first experience taking ownership of my work schedule. I was in charge of contacting my patients and scheduling their visits. In doing this, I developed an important skill: workflow management. In this role, I designed and implemented individualized care to rehabilitate 3-5 patients per shift in the home health setting. The patients I worked with were homebound and at times did not have a good support network. One of the most rewarding aspects of the job was being an advocate for patients and connecting them to community resources. Show less

  At Missouri Baptist I treated patients in the orthopedic, general medicine, cardiac recovery, surgical, inpatient rehab, and oncology units. I loved having a positive impact on people when facing some of the most challenging experiences of their lives. On average I treated 5-8 patients per shift.

  Completed a Java bootcamp at Tech Elevator. Below is a list of projects I completed during my time here:-Minneapolis City Guide: Created a program allowing users to view landmarks with filtering, build itineraries, and suggest a new landmark. The application uses SQL Database, RESTful API, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Vue.-Money Transfer Application: Created using SQL, RESTful APIs, and the MVC pattern in Java to complete server-client mock money transfers. Server-side uses Spring framework and PostgreSQL. The application ensures user authenticity, manages transfers, and updates balances. -Quiz Maker: Developed in Java using file I/O. The application allows the user to select a quiz to take, tracks correct answers, and displays a final score at the end of each quiz. The application keeps a log of scores.- Vending Machine Application: Developed in Java using Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals, JUnit, and file I/O. The application logs transactions, creates sales reports, keeps inventory, provides change, and uses the command line to accept user input. Show less
