This includes the management of all of the following SON property: computers, phones, furniture, classroom equipment, simulation equipment· Responsible for reporting and oversight to various UAB services and entities, ensuring the proper operation and utilization of over 143,636 gross sq ft of SON property.· Responsible for all SON space scheduling. This position is responsible for assisting faculty and staff in the preparation of applications for internal and external funding. Specific activities include budget development, budget revision, agency guideline interpretation, file management, and other aspects of proposal preparation. Additionally, this position assists multiple departments with requisition assistance for purchasing grant related items and compliance relative to University and sponsor policies and program announcements. This position will also assist with the management of departmental sponsored programs’ post-award (interaction with departmental and centralized grant administration and grant accounting personnel activities.) Duties include maintaining human resources portion of the school’s website, creating databases for multiple departments across school, planning and implementation of events for Dean’s Office, being a HIPAA administrator for staff and faculty, managing operations/human resources information on internal share point site, conducted job interviews, assisting in on-boarding of new employees, assisting with orientation of new faculty and staff, posting advertisements for job openings within the school, and assisting Facilities Coordinator in moves and office changes. Responsible for position development, recruitment, hiring, supervision, and evaluation of 10 student assistants. Job requirements also include scheduling interviews, creating a variety of memos, processing payment requests and travel requisitions, answering phones, and providing additional coverage for Dean’s Office.
