  Raspberry Pi Audio Effects Box

  ● Goal: Create a small computer that multiplied the capability of a guitar pedal, costing 20-25% of the price of an analog pedal setup.● Became familiar with Linux and installing operating systems and other software onto a Raspberry Pi 3 model B.● Used the Pure Data programming environment to alter audio inputs, creating a series of audio effects with an intuitive UI.● Designed a case for the electronics in Solidworks, iterating on the design to simplify the manufacturing and assembly processes.   ● Used pinout diagrams and manufacturer documentation to create electronic circuits wired to microchips.● Implemented C to code sensors, LEDs, and other components attached to the circuits, having them respond to user input.● Applied the circuits and code to drive a small autonomous buggy, which processed the data from the sensors using the program.● Designed a PID control system to create a program that steers a small powered balloon, allowing it to straighten itself out in flight.

  ● Designed and 3D printed parts for prototype Nerf blaster assemblies using Solidworks, analyzing their performance using Excel.● Built a test bed to incrementally increase the efficiency of a piston cylinder-propelled system, improving velocity by 50%.● Tested future blasters to ensure they followed proper child safety guidelines, both company and federal regulations.● Designed solutions for a product failing sound level restrictions that registered 4-5 dB lower than the failing part.● Collaborated with co-ops to develop a new product from concept to pre-production, running packaging and costing analysis.   ● Assessed industry sponsor needs for the project and created a project outline, detailing the stages of the project in a Gantt chart.● Obtained drawings of components from the sponsor and created a 3D model based on the drawings for designs to reference.● Used NX to design prototypes that satisfied the project sponsor’s goals, developing the model over time as issues were addressed.● Presented on stages of the design and maintained documentation of team meetings to keep the sponsor informed.● Wrote a design report detailing the steps taken to develop the solution, as well as created a user manual for the sponsor.● Delivered a solution that weighed ~25% less, was faster to install/remove, and improved operator safety with electronic operation.   3D Factory Engineer

  Established a 3D printing hub for Unilever's factories in North America. Using an HP JetFusion 5200 printer and a Creaform 3D scanner, I designed and printed parts to improve the efficiency of the manufacturing lines, reduce downtime by rapidly printing broken parts, and improved parts' ergonomics to allow for safer maintenance. I collaborated with engineers across multiple sites in the USA, occasionally travelling to them to get a hands-on look at their processes, and reported my progress to senior leadership. Show less

  Associate Project Engineer (Transformers)

  Worked as an engineer on the Transformers team, where I helped lead over 60 projects and over 150 figures. Working on the retailer exclusive and preschool figures, I worked with Design, Marketing, Project Management, Finance, and Packaging teams to help determine the project scope, financial feasibility, and product functionality and quality. I also worked closely with teams in Asia, both internal Hasbro teams as well as the Takara Tomy team in Japan, to develop the projects.
