  I am employed in an engineering management and support role where I provide additive manufacturing and microfabrication support to research centres based on the Dublin City University campus. My current role is also outward focused in that I liaise with, and provide design and fabrication services to external companies who wish to avail of our facilities on a commercial or product development basis. From a management perspective the role includes; training of new users, compiling and updating standard operating procedures, safety documentation and logbooks, in house servicing, maintenance scheduling and troubleshooting. From an operations perspective the role includes; design and fabrication of a range of micro/nano medical devices for research centers, collaborators and external companies using resources available across the facility.
