This has served me well in events. Creative Writing is my outlet. It gives me the chance to hone my creative skills and develop projects.I was vice-president of the Drama Society in my second year. This included marketing, dealing with conflict, leading sessions and advancing our presence. I gained valuable team-work, leadership and event production skills and pushed the society to win Society of the Year alongside a nomination for Committee Member of the Year.My proudest moment was seeing the play I had written with my writing-partner come to life before my eyes. The piece was a family pantomime and involved the pair of us developing the piece from initial conception, writing, editing, proofing and adapting with feedback from the cast and crew. Show less

Aug 2020 - Dec 2021Events and Communications Manager“We’re not just selling venues, we’re telling stories.”I wrote this line when I started this role and, although disgustingly poetic bordering on cliché, I have tried to incorporate the philosophy behind it into my approach. The role allows me to blend my passion for comms and content with my logistical prowess for events.
