      Observed and assisted correctional officers (CO’s) with their daily responsibilities supporting adult women inmates in a Provincial, Maximum and Medium Security Prison.Helped CO’s with logging the inmates’ movement, bringing meals, doing searches for contraband, and talking with them to build rapport and trust. Dedicated time to review inmates’ files to attempt to understand why people commit crimes to be able to empathize with them.

      Supported youth and women clients aged 12-24 who had been involved, were actively involved or were at-risk of human trafficking or exploitation. Referred clients to counselling services, helped them access housing, and re-enter school.
