  I have been actively involved in the formal and informal teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, sub-specialty trainees, nursing and paramedical staff, for well over 20 years.Since my employment with the then Hunter Area Health Service, I have been a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the Department of Reproductive Medicine at the University of Newcastle. In 2004, I was promoted to Conjoint Associate Professor.

  In this position, I am required to :- Provide strategic and clinical leadership and direction for the planning, development and delivery of cancer services across the District. - Build strong relationships across all clinical cancer streams, across both the public and private health systems, across all treatment modalities, and across both the rural and metropolitan areas. - Ensure the involvement of General Practitioners, Specialists clinicians and allied health staff, Area Executive and other staff, NSW Cancer Institute, NSW Health, Cancer Australia, the Universities of Newcastle and New England, and the HMRI.
