I worked with a team preparing submittals to local government agencies and clients. I used Civil 3D to help design underground utilities (sewer, storm drain, and waterlines), drainage maps for drainage reports, plot plans, plot grading, cost estimates, and general updating of plan sets. I also prepared supplemental topography mapping, delivered physical copies of plan sets to government agencies, agency coordination for utility plan checks, and other tasks

I worked both in the field and in the office. While in the office, I helped prepare pre-construction submittals for projects such as the Folsom Dam Raise Dikes 1-6, and a Creek Ecosystem Restoration project in Sonoma County. I also got experience in the field on a levee project along the Sacramento River in Yolo County. On this project, I was able to help with Quality Control tasks along with gaining firsthand experience of what goes on in a construction site.
