      Human Resources Director 12/1997–2/2001Reported to the President and managed a staff of two employees I was responsible for all Human Resource functions within the organization. With a business-partner attitude, I consulted the company’s senior managers including the president. In addition to the accomplishments while a Human Resources Manager, the following are notable: Served as a member of the company’s management team contributing to strategic planning, administrative projects, policy and program designs. Utilized successful recruiting measures for key engineering positions that proved to be significantly cost effective versus hiring a recruiter. Acted as the liaison between corporate attorneys and the executive staff on all legal personnel issues. Renegotiated contracts with benefit providers for services including Health, Life, LTD and AD&D saving thousands of dollars and increased the services provided. Responsible for recruitment and relocation of international employees and implemented an International Travel Policy. Wrote a Supervisor Manual as a tool to guide management personnel regarding policies and procedures and served as the team leader for ISO 9001 Documentation Control Team Show less Human Resources Manager 10/1996-12/1997Managed the entire HR function for 275+ employees in 3 locations. Responsibilities included: employee relations, personnel services, recruitment and employment, performance evaluation process, compensation and benefits administration, training and development, EEO and Affirmative Action. Some selected accomplishments include: establishing a wage and salary structure, pay policies, performance appraisal programs, employee benefit programs and services and company health and safety programs. Negotiated employment fee structures with placement agencies providing major cost reductions for the company. Designed Employee Recognition Programs, which promoted a higher level of employee morale. Aggressively implemented a Drug and Alcohol Policy and Drug-Free Workplace Program. Implemented an Employee Assistance Program. Managed all employee-related aspects of several company-wide reduction in force efforts resulting in minimal impact on productivity and no legal issues related to employees. Evaluated and compared existing company benefits with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys, and other sources of information.
