  MicroPower manufactured an incredibly efficient solar powered, wireless CCTV camera technology. This allowed for real-time 24/7 video surveillance of remote locations that were previously inaccessible or impractical to install power and video cabling into.In my role, I designed off grid solar powered IPCCTV systems, provided high level product support and pre-sales engineering. I lead the presales team, also developed product installation manuals, quick start guides, as well as product training and marketing videos. Worked closely with developers to evolve the products based on assessed needs, and to bring new product through development and sourcing. Also lead development of customer training and certification programs, policies for new camera system installations, and the processes for remote wireless site surveys (RF/insolation/physical). Also of importance was becoming one of the product experts on the various VMS that our camera would integrate into, and supported trade show events to promote and educate about the company and product line.   As a Solutions Engineer, we help to facilitate the sales process by providing our end users and dealers a strong level technical expertise surrounding both the Milestone products and related industry hardware and technologies. Strong presentation and product demonstration skills are required as well as a broad understanding and general expertise in a wide variety of industry related products such as advanced cameras, AI video analytics, access control, networking, wireless technologies, IT Technologies, Cloud Services, and more. Our team is front and center early in the sales process developing server calculations, product training, overseeing product evaluation pilots, resolving support issues, and acting as a customer advocate consultant. We answer the tough questions, make product suggestions, and refer clients to specialized technology needs provided by our ecosystem of advanced technology partners. Our role is to proactively address any technical barriers that may exist in order to help ensure the success of the project.I am also a member of the Milestone Advisory Board, a group of industry experienced people helping to guide Milestone product development, a consultant regarding the internal development of tools and resources for the company. I’m also regular public presenter at the Milestone Integration Platform Symposium (MIPS), assist with product training videos and online media presence, as well participating in other industry events, requiring frequent domestic and international travel.
