      Kate assisted with cognitive neuroscience research studies and worked collaboratively with other students and post-doctoral scientists in the lab. Dr. Turkeltaub’s research lab is involved in basic, translational, and clinical projects on the brain basis of cognition and treatment of cognitive disorders such as aphasia and dyslexia.Kate acquired human subject data from both clinical patient populations and healthy subjects using a variety of techniques including behavioral testing, fMRI, transcranial magnetic stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation,and lesion analysis. Some of this work was performed at the National Rehabilitation Hospital. Kate recruited subjects and maintained subject database.General managerial duties included website maintenance, office purchasing, and liaising with the IRB and the grant administration office as Study Coordinator on nine protocols.
