  I am Ivan D Mossop, Jr. a candidate for City Council, District 28 aka Greater Jamaica. I have served our community through various types of Civic Action. Currently Founder of Action Civic Association for Greater Jamaica Formerly Recording Secretary of the Rochdale Village House Congress. Formerly Asst Treasurer of COMET a civic in the Maspeth/Elmhurst area of Queens. Also formerly an NYPD Auxiliary Police Officer during 9/11 out of the 107th Precinct in Flushing, NY. I have led efforts to provide VITA (Volunteeer Income Tax Assistance) to our district through NABA (Natl Assoc of Black Accts).I have lived, worshiped, studied, worked and volunteered in the Greater Jamaica community for over 50 years.
