  I currently manage uniformed patrol operations in Central East, South Central, Southwest, and Southeast Austin, including Austin/Bergstrom International Airport, and the Special Operations Division. This includes our SWAT Team, Bomb Squad, Patrol and Explosive Detection K-9’s, and Air Unit. I am currently managing detective units within the Austin Police Department. I first supervised uniformed patrol officers assigned to the Austin/Bergstrom International Airport. I then went on to supervise the APD Patrol K-9 Unit, and the APD SWAT Team. From 2001-2006 I was assigned to the Organized Crime Division working in Narcotics for a year, and then with the Gang Unit/Major Crimes Task Force until June of 2006. From that time until I promoted to sergeant, I was assigned to the APD Homicide Unit. Worked uniformed patrol in Northwest, Central East, and Northeast Austin.
