It tested our creativity. So initially just like any other mechanical engineering student would do, we initially thought of making a ⛵ using a balloon to make it move forward or even a car . But later we thought it would not be very creative as many of them would think about the same idea. So we decided to make an innovative apartment which has solar energy to produce electricity and the waste water is purified and can be reused for many purposes . We suddenly remembered about what our professor Nagraju Sir and BSD Sir who taught us about water purification method . We began the designing and modelling process . We started off with the building and it's foundation . Then we went on Design the water supply and sewage treatment plant . We used straws as pipes for water supply, connecting the sewage treatment plant components . We designed the sewage system in such a way that the some water would be sent to the garden as it has many organic substances which are good enough as organic fertilizers . Then the rest of the water is sent to Secondary treatment plant using activated sludge process, some of the sludge is reused , most of the sludge is used by the farmers . Then the water is sent for tertiary treatment . Then this water may be used for domestic purpose.We also used solar panels to produce electricity . Show less
