  The aim of this project is to reinforce UHMWPE with nanodiamonds (NDs) by solvent casting to create nano-composites used for orthopedic application, more precise the bearing cup of hip-replacement implants. Appropriate wt% of NDs need to be selected to avoid degradation of the polymer. These properties will be analyzed with a tensile test, SEM, DSC, hardness test and TGA.
