      Camp Ruggles is the only summer camp in Rhode Island designated for children (ages 6-12) who have been diagnosed with behavioral and emotional disorders. • After the first year was promoted to Waterfront Director with responsibility for all waterfront activities including swim lessons, boating lessons, fishing lessons, and leisure swimming. • Successfully designed and executed lesson plans while overseeing 20 staff members. • Incorporated the characteristics of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) philosophy • Setting clear expectations for appropriate behavior and rewarding positive behavior for the 60 young children greatly improved their ability to follow directions, make friends, and improved mood.       • Responsible for ensuring the successful implementation, execution and oversight of Special Education services and English Language Learner (ELL) programming for 147 students in Title I school of 450 students.• Supervises fourteen staff members directly including Special Educators, ELL coordinator, ELL teachers, and classroom paraprofessionals through real time coaching, lesson plan review, data analysis protocols, and observation feedback.• Delivering over 200 hours of professional development to staff of sixty professionals on topics including Special Education key mindset and systems, data analysis practices, classroom management skill building, parent communication, and personal organization.• Manages school-wide Special Services structures, including MTSS, for both academic and behavioral tiered intervention. Directly creates Tier III interventions and manages five Tier II team leaders.• Completes all Functional Behavior Assessments and write all Behavior Intervention Plans.• Influences school-wide strategy and ensures special needs and ELL students remain a priority, as engaged member of School Leadership Team.• Ensures 100% compliance for special education meetings and services (2016-2017 school year, AFPMA’s first as a “fully grown” school).• Manages entry into state and federal reporting systems include Medicaid billing. • Coordinates supports with district and medical partnerships to ensure high quality services that match the appropriate level of student need.• Contributes to broader-school achievements through effective special education and ELL program execution: for the past two years, AFPMA students outperformed the host district and performed on-par in one or more subjects with affluent districts on PARCC.
